These season finale concerts hold the ESO premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s Candide Suite, part of a worldwide celebration of the 100th anniversary of his birth. The program will also feature Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, which conveys a dazzling array of emotions. The fourth movement of this symphony, Adagietto, may be the most famous of all his works.

Dinner with Santa

Registration deadline – December 4.
In the Neighborhood Deli will provide a wonderful meal that both adults & kids will love. We will make a craft, sing holiday songs, and enjoy a visit with Santa. Don’t forget your camera for a picture with the big guy!

Senior Citizen Police Academy

For senior citizens who would like to learn more about the police department, the senior citizens police academy provides seniors who are at least 55 years of age with the opportunity to learn about the department’s Tactical Response Team, K-9 Unit, Drug and Gang Units, and much more. http://www.cityofelgin.org/calendar.aspx?EID=4269

EPD's Winter Open House

The Elgin Police Department will be hosting its annual Winter Open House on Saturday, December 2 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. There will be historic displays in our lobby, child fingerprinting, McGruff, information from our special divisions, facility tours, activities for kids, and a demo with K9 Colt and Officer Schuttrow beginning at 4 p.m.
